Organizer: Disciples of Christ - Disciples Women Christian Church Theme: Human trafficking Madang Hall, performance stage |
The play addresses an important issue. Human trafficking is a form of modern-day slavery in which people, mostly women and children, are abducted and/or forced to labour for someone else against their wishes. Human trafficking includes buying, selling and moving people from one location to another against their will, and it constitutes a grave violation of human rights. It occurs all over the world. The play unfolds the story through the lives of four unique women: Asian, African American, Hispanic and Anglo. The purpose is to use drama to awaken all to an issue that affects our global community.
