EHAIA ; Madang Meeting Room 1 (Booth 36) |
EHAIA staff and partners will interact with participants by sharing lessons learned how doing intensive contextual theological and biblical reflections on HIV, has helped to address stigma, shame and exclusion, breaking the silence and dissipating the fear surrounding issues related to sexuality in all its diversity. In the same light the conversation will also explore how in-depth critical analysis of sexual and gender-based violence in HIV context has enabled people of faith to promote gender justice, transformative masculinities and femininities, and pastoral accompaniment of people living with HIV. Another crucial lesson learned that will be explored is the importance of courageous and committed leadership and the critical engagement of cultural and religious factors in HIV response.
