Some 700 young Christians (aged 30 and under) will participate in the WCC 10th Assembly in a variety of ways, including delegates representing WCC member churches as well as young communications professionals and 150 stewards helping to make the event happen.
Some 150 advanced theology students and lecturers from all regions of the world and all Christian denominational traditions will attend the Global Ecumenical Theological Institute.
Active participation of youth is fostered by a series of events in the run-up to the Assembly including regional events, webinars, and a virtual conference on eco-justice, migration and peace-building on 12 October.
During the two days preceding the assembly, a Youth Pre-Assembly Gathering on Justice and Peace will mark the final stage of preparations for youth delegates, stewards, Madang participants and local youth groups. Click here to download the agenda (pdf)
